Dom Marzano, Psychologist

Hello, I’m Dom

I’m a registered psychologist with over 25 years of experience supporting people across all stages of life — from children and families to high-performing professionals, leaders, athletes, and creatives.

Whether you’re working through a personal challenge or aiming to reach your full potential, I’ll meet you where you're at and help you move forward with clarity, confidence, and focus.

Drawing from clinical, organisational, performance, and sport psychology, I tailor support to your goals — from rebuilding after a setback to pursuing your next breakthrough.

My approach is practical and collaborative — we’ll work together to create a way forward that feels clear, achievable, and right for you.

I hold a Master’s in Organisational Psychology and have worked with everyone from young children to elite athletes and CEOs. That breadth of experience helps me bring a down-to-earth, flexible perspective to every session.

Alongside therapy for individuals and families, I also support professionals, leaders, and performers to sharpen mental clarity, strengthen resilience, and thrive — in both life and work.

Above all, I want you to feel clear, capable, and confident in where you’re headed. Whether you’re working through personal challenges or aiming to grow professionally, we’ll build the tools to help you move forward with focus and resilience.

Support that meets you where you're at

Big or small, the first step matters. Let’s work through it — one conversation at a time.

What 25 years of supporting people has taught me about moving forward

After more than two decades of working with individuals, families, and professionals, one thing is clear — therapy isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about creating space to be heard, understood, and supported as you work through whatever life throws your way.

Everyone’s story is different. That’s why I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches — not just one method. Whether we’re exploring patterns from the past or focusing on practical steps forward, I’ll always tailor our work to what makes sense for you.

Some of the therapeutic approaches I use include:

  • CBT and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Couples & Family Therapy
  • Mindfulness and Stress Management
  • Performance and Organisational Coaching
  • Psychodynamic and Narrative Therapy
  • DBT, Exposure, and Integrative techniques

I believe good therapy looks at the whole picture — your relationships, your work, your habits, and your strengths. And I work with people from all walks of life: individuals, couples, parents, professionals, and teams.

You’re welcome to see me in Bunbury, Busselton, anywhere across the South West, or online — with or without a referral. I also support NDIS and insurance-based bookings.

When you’re ready, I’m here — just make a booking enquiry to get started.

Healing isn’t about fixing what’s broken — it’s about understanding what you’ve been through, and building the tools to move forward.

What brings people to therapy — and how I help

Over the years, I’ve worked with people facing all kinds of challenges — from anxiety and burnout to parenting struggles, relationship breakdowns, workplace stress, and feeling stuck or overwhelmed.

Some people come to therapy in crisis. Others come with big goals — wanting to improve performance, sharpen focus, strengthen relationships, or lead with more confidence. Whatever brings you here, my aim is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and genuinely heard.

We’ll work at your pace to make sense of what’s going on and find a path forward that works for you — whether you’re rebuilding after something tough, or building toward something more.

You don’t need a referral or a Mental Health Care Plan to get started. I also support NDIS participants and work with a range of insurance-based funding options, including WorkCover and motor vehicle accident claims.

People often reach out for support with:

  • Anxiety, stress, and mood disorders
  • Grief, trauma, and emotional recovery
  • Substance use and behaviour change
  • Self-esteem and personal growth
  • Parenting, family, and relationship challenges
  • Child and adolescent support
  • Workplace, leadership, and performance issues
  • Neurodiversity, including ADHD and autism spectrum concerns

Performance & leadership coaching

I’ve worked with professionals, performers, and teams across industries — from elite athletes and artists to CEOs and frontline workers.

Whether you’re leading others or aiming to grow personally, I offer performance coaching grounded in psychological science to help you:

  • Sharpen mental clarity
  • Manage pressure and stress
  • Improve decision-making and communication
  • Build emotional intelligence
  • Strengthen resilience and confidence

If you’re ready to perform at your best — without burning out — we can build the skills and mindset to help you get there.

Frequently Asked Questions

It’s normal to have questions before starting therapy. Here are a few things people often ask — and if there’s anything else you’re unsure about, feel free to get in touch.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Therapy can be helpful for anyone going through a tough time, feeling stuck, or just wanting to improve their wellbeing. Whether you're facing anxiety, relationship issues, grief, parenting struggles or workplace stress, talking things through with a professional can make a real difference.

Do you offer telehealth services?

Yes — if you’re unable to attend in person, we offer telehealth appointments so you can connect from the comfort of your home. Whether you’re in Bunbury or further afield, online sessions provide the same level of care, support, and privacy.

How long is a typical therapy session?

Most sessions run for around 50 minutes. That gives us enough time to talk things through properly and focus on what matters most — without feeling rushed.

What types of therapy do you offer?

I use a mix of evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Couples Therapy, and Performance Coaching — depending on what works best for you. Every session is tailored to your goals and your pace.

Do I need a referral or Mental Health Care Plan to see you?

No, you don’t need a referral or Mental Health Care Plan to make an appointment. You’re welcome to book directly. We also support NDIS participants and clients with insurance-based coverage, including WorkCover and motor vehicle accident claims.
